After 50 years of research involving more than 26 million color judgments by 80000 people, Professor Antal Nemcsics - the founder of the Coloroid system - has designed this exciting color order system to accurately model the human sensation of color harmony. Coloroid Professional makes fun out of the complexities of the color design process. All you need do is supply the Coloroid Harmony Wizard with a dominant (primary) color. The wizard then guides you through the rest of the interactive design process. Using a few simple rules and regulations, the result is a highly aesthetic color plan. Depending upon your needs, you can create mono-, di- or tri-chromatic color designs. Simply select from a color page list which contains only those hues that harmonize the dominant color and each other. Once the hue values have been selected, you can apply the Coloroid Harmony Rules in an interactive process that takes just a few minutes, and will allow you to define the color set you've been dreaming about. Follow the rules, and the color plans generated will be highly aesthetic.

You can ensure the correctness of your color rendering using the Display Gamma Calibrating Wizard. The wizard will adjust the color output to account for the differences between display devices.

Besides the Coloroid Harmony Wizard, the software includes a color system converter to transform color data between the most popular systems - including Coloroid, CIE XYZ, Lab, Luv, sRGB, Munsell, Ciecam 97, linear rgb, and Hunter Lab.

The designs you create can be exported as ASCII data files or Windows bitmaps containing color samples and sRGB / web color format descriptors for your colors.
The special kaleidoscope display mode renders colors as a bitmap that contains all the design colors. It indicates their possible relations to each other by choosing the surface area for each color so that an optimal sensation of harmony is created.
Using our new, interactive HTML page output, you can save your design as a web browser enabled HTML page containing all the design colors, and simply point-and-click to apply the design colors to individual web page elements. That way, you can do as many what-if scenarios from the design colors as you like before publishing the final version to the Web.
